Famtàstic · Evenings of Gastronomic Art is a unique event that brings together live artists, audiovisual elements, gastronomy, and musical components with the finality of creating a diverse cultural offering for the public and local, as well as external, content producers.

 

In the thematic sessions of Famtàstic, the audience is offered a combination of artistic content centred around the theme of each evening:

 

– Audiovisual content: each session has a selection of national and international short films.
– Bespoke gastronomic tastings from passionate and innovative chefs, with local and sustainably sourced products (DOP, DO, IGP)*.

 

*DOP = Denominación de Origen Cualificada (a label that guarantees a high-quality food product)
DO = Denominación de Origen (similar to the previous label, commonly found in wines).
IGP = Indicación Geográfica Protegida (a label indicating geographical origin and quality).

 

– Live artistic content: Including concerts, theatrical art, and performances.
– Musical content: selected by DJs and curators, tailored to the theme of each session.
– Other forms of artistic expression, including: installations, videos, exhibits, ambiance/settings, projections. 

 

Famtàstic is an event comprised of themed evenings that approach arts and cultural events in a unique way. It allows the public to discover and experience cultural expressions that are not mainstream; such as: short films, performances, and contemporary art in general. These artistic expressions, which might not individually appeal to a large segment of the population, acquire a different meaning and become more accessible when brought together in their shared context. Famtàstic generates an environment that is greater than the sum of its parts.

Famtàstic’s third edition is dedicated to three themes:
– Canarian potatoes (celebrating 401 years since their arrival in the archipelago and their subsequent global impact),
– the relationship between gastronomy and astronomy, and
– a “Tarantinian-inspired evening”. 

 

Famtàstic aims to engage participants in cultural storytelling, allowing them to experience and enjoy the stories.

 

Famtàstic is designed to create a personalised experience for each participant, fostering interaction with artists, the space, and others.

 

Each night, we offer 4-5 hours of contents surrounding the theme of the night. In 2023, Famtàstic will be celebrated in Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote, and Barcelona.
